It’s a big time for the Class of 2026, as they start to get into the thick of recruiting and making a name for themselves at their respective prep programs. With that said, let’s get into this month’s 2026 Prospect Roulette.

Here’s how it works: I’ll pop up a random number generator that includes the 2026 rankings. I’ll generate 10 numbers and the 10 that come up will be the ranking of the player. I’ll then spotlight those players in the article to help give them some more attention.

There’s 115 players ranked in our Class of 2026. Let’s see who has the lucky numbers this month:

The Michigan Freshman Showcase and Michigan Stock Up Showcase are coming to Pontiac on Aug. 4. You can get $10 off your registration when you sign up by using code “EllisDig2024.” Be sure to register today.

49. Delaney Gilmore Delaney Gilmore 5'9" | S Brighton | 2026 State MI , S/RS Brighton/L2

Gilmore is a setter/hitter combo that looks comfortable in either role. As a setter, Gilmore does a good job of adapting to the play. She can make a very challenging set look smooth. Her locations are accurate and consistent. As a hitter, Gilmore does a good job of placing the ball around the other side of the net to remain unpredictable. She always puts a solid swing on the ball and doesn’t make things easy on the defense.

74. Ava Merlo Ava Merlo 5'4" | DS/L Orchard Lake St. Mary | 2026 State MI , DS/L Orchard Lake St. Mary’s/Legacy

Merlo remains steady with her first contact and her serve receive. She’s able to shift her body to make a clean dig on the ball but still get it accurately to her setter to keep the offense in-system. Merlo can also be a difference maker from the service line. She’s got an aggressive serve that challenges the back row and pushes the boundary lines.

61. Olivia Beaudrie Olivia Beaudrie 5'7" | OH SMCC | 2026 State MI , DS/L SMCC/LevelUp

Beaudrie has stepped up her defensive play in the last year and come through with a lot of improvement in the role. She’s gotten better instincts and more consistent with her first contact. She brings a lot of determination to the position and you can see she wants to find that next gear as a player. Her drive and work ethic should allow her to keep making strides. Plus, playing for SMCC doesn’t hurt either, as they already have some strong defenders to learn from.

108. Sadie Devlaeminck Sadie Devlaeminck 6'0" | MB East Grand Rapids | 2026 State MI , MH East Grand Rapids/MVA

The 6-foot Devlaeminck is able to play anywhere along the net, but her presence in the middle does a lot for her squad. She draws a lot of attention, which opens up the hitters on the outside. Devlaeminck can bring down the ball with a lot of force, but she also has a good awareness for out-of-system plays and isn’t afraid to go with offspeed attacks. There still feels like there’s untapped potential if she can turn up the intensity level this fall.

114. Allison Rutledge Allison Rutledge 6'0" | S Lapeer | 2026 State MI , S Lapeer/Five:1

Rutledge is a 6-foot setter with a high ceiling that could see her ranking number skyrocket with a strong fall for Lapeer. She’s shown a lot for Five:1 this club season, as she’s very athletic and able to make an impact in all phases of the game. She can set, hit, block, defend and serve. It’s just a matter of continuing to fine tune in each phase that will allow her to jump up another level.

33. Jadyn Samson Jadyn Samson 5'4" | DS/L Mendon | 2026 MI , DS/L Mendon/Dead Frog

One of the top defenders in the class and certainly one of the top impact players in Division 4, Samson has been putting in the work to make herself a strong prospect at the next level. She’s got a lot of big-match experience and has proven she can take on big hitters since she was a freshman. Her consistency and ability to come through with a match-turning dig is quite uncanny. She’s definitely going to make an impact in the D4 picture this fall.

6. Meredith Martin Meredith Martin 5'7" | DS/L Marian | 2026 State #64 Nation MI , DS/L Marian/Legacy

Martin has been the libero for a Legacy 16-1 ADIDAS team that is consistently up against the top club teams in the nation. It’s forced her to raise her game to another level this club season, which should be a big boost to the Marian program as she steps in for her first year this fall. Last year, she was part of an Orchard Lake St. Mary’s team as a lead hitter, where she showcased her all-around talent and athleticism.

13. Quinn Yenshaw Quinn Yenshaw 6'0" | OH Traverse City St. Francis | 2026 State MI , OH TC St. Francis/FaR Out

Yenshaw proved she is ready for the spotlight last fall by leading St. Francis to the D3 final. Now, with that experience under her belt, she can play with a lot of confidence at the net. This club season, Yenshaw was able to hold her own at the net against the best she was up against. The 6-foot hitter has all the shot speeds and arm angles. As her defense and serving catch up to her hitting, she’s going to be a prospect many colleges will be looking at.

23. Madeline Dettling Madeline Dettling 6'0" | OH SMCC | 2026 State MI , OH SMCC/Michigan Elite

The 6-foot Dettling gives SMCC size and power at the net hat it needs to match the athleticism and finesse it already has. Dettling is a player that can turn up the aggression and put the ball down with authority when she gets a clean look. However, it’s her out-of-system balls and ability to adapt at the net that has raised her value. She’s showing she can finish with more than just power and size.

50. Jillian Gibbs Jillian Gibbs 5'11" | MB Orchard Lake St. Mary's Prep | 2026 State MI , MH Orchard Lake St. Mary’s/L2

Gibbs is a middle that is listed at 5’11”, but plays much bigger at the net and her presence is definitely felt by opponents. Her length allows her to come over the top of the ball at a sharp angle. She’s also got a good vertical to make her attacks hard to deal with. Defensively, Gibbs is a relentless blocker that makes it very challenging for hitters to get the ball off clean.
