University of Arizona 2025 Recruiting Class: Offense - Prep Redzone (2024)

UofA saw a spike in commitments from the 2025 class after a weekend of official visits adding up to the 15 new commits this month. Take a look at the offensive prospects.

Quarterbacks:

10 Offers: Arizona, Arizona State, NAU, Oregon, Oregon State, Rice, San Diego State, Utah, New Mexico State, North Dakota State

September 2023 Eval: Haugo comes in as our top ranked 2025 QB in the state. He’s got a strong physical skillset with great size/length at 6’5” 210 lbs. Really good ability to throw his receivers open and hit his spots at all three levels. Arm strength allows him to make off platform throws without sacrificing accuracy or velocity. Good feel to mix up his speeds, can zip a ball in tight window at the intermediate level or layer it over second level defenders. Sees the field and coverage well, calmly goes through his reads and progression making smart decisions with the football. Clean footwork and mechanics in the pocket but shows the athleticism to manipulate and escape pressure while keeping his eyes downfield for a target. Transferred from North to Higley for his junior and will be a double digit offer prospect before long.

Originally committed to Cal but decommitted and quickly flipped to Arizona. He’s PRZ CA’s #17 ranked QB in the state.

February 2024 Eval: At 6’1” 190 lbs. McDaniel is a gifted natural passer. He’s a savvy athlete with an accelerated release allowing him to get the ball quickly. He’s got great touch and trajectory on deep routes but can zip a one ball into a tight window at the short and intermediate level. Doesn’t lose accuracy or velocity when making off platform throws. Shows smooth and efficient footwork in the pocket and on the run, he’s quick to get into his drop and limits wasted motion. Really like his ability to deliver the ball under pressure and with a defender in his face. Threw for almost 3,000 yards and 33 touchdowns as a junior with only four interceptions. Recruitment has really taken off since the start of the new year with his first five P5 offers coming in since then.

Running back:

Strong 5’11” 210 lb. frame with a good mix of power and speed. Can run through contact at the first level and use his short area quickness to be elusive in the open field. Plus long speed to breakaway from defenders.

Wide Receiver/Tight End:

Kellan is PRZ CA’s #4 ranked TE in the state. He’s a long and athletic TE that is effective as a receiver and inline blocker. Plus route runner that competes for the ball at the high point.

Terry Shelton, WR, Ranchview (TX) – Committed on June 18^th, 2024

Excellent measurables and testing numbers with track level speed. 6’4” 200 lbs. with a 81 inch wingspan, 40 inch vertical, and sub 4.5 40. Ran a 23.00 in the 200m and 53.38 in the 400m.

Two-Way Athlete:

Athletically gifted with great positional versatility that can be a game changer at QB, WR, TE, DB, or OLB. Long 6’3” 205 lb. frame that can run (22.18 200m). High level body control and short area acceleration.

OL:

Tohi is a three year starter for one of the top teams in the nation and PRZ CA’s #10 OL prospect in the state. 6’4” 320 lbs. he’s a plus athlete and natural bender at his size. Can work to the second level and to the perimeter to be an effective blocker in space. Strong at the POA, he’s got a powerful hip roll and accelerates his feet upon contact. Huge get for the Wildcats.

Javian Goo, Kapolei (HI) – Committed on June 24^th, 2024

One of Hawaii’s top offensive line prospects at 6’5” 280 lbs. Equally effective as a run blocker and in pass protection. He’s quick out of his stance to gain positioning early. Plays with leverage at the POA and holds good natural strength at contact.

Great interior offensive lineman prospect at 6’3” 285 lbs. with the ability to play either guard or center. He’s got great contact balance and drives through contact. Flashes good hand usage and placement to control defenders and sustain his block throughout the play.
